So basically you didn't create this thread for feedback, you just wanted attention.

I created this thread for a documentation of the results, not to ask what your opinion was.

I could care less. I was trying to be helpful and telling him to pick something different. As much as I like wrenching on my car I like driving it more. No point in installing a sh*t turbo that WILL fail in time and give **** poor results. Do it right the first time.

Here's a dyno sheet from another car with this turbo, I'd say it's plenty stout given the boost level:

Looks about like MHI 18k numbers, but it spools 1k rpm's later.

430whp, 23psi of boost, full boost at 3600 MHI18k on pump gas
vs
440whp, 25psi of boost, full boost at 4600 Cavalli turbo on unknown fuel

Yeah. the Cavalli is a GREAT turbo by comparison.

exactly, inline with what I stated. Crap spool for the power. Then it eats a comp wheel or cracks the housing.

either way, this guy already made his mind up, so he will experience it first hand.

I had this turbo before this thread was created, and before you and your EvoM board warrior buddy have tried to shame me while pushing your love for your MHI 18K turbos.

Also, you keep endlessly bringing up the cracked turbine housing. Where are you even getting this? You realize that not all non-OEM housings are created equal right? If I recall correctly, all the MAP turbos use aftermarket housings as well. It's not like MHI housings are perfect either, FP asks you to inspect them for damage before shipping them to them for build.

You've made your point. Please refrain from ruining my thread any further, this is made to be a documentation thread.

As for everyone else, I will have results for you after the weekend when the install is finished!

To be fair, FP weeded out housings with volute cracks, which doesn't affect performance nor reliability. They no longer turn those housings away.

I had a MAP ef2.5. Everyone told me it would die, but I was already vested. I was stubborn and tried it.
Boom.
It broke 4 hours from home. Ever try driving all day at 50mph while constantly stopping to add oil? Lol was not fun. Thank God a friend left the track after I did and caught up to me. He trailer the car back.for me.
Luckily, nothing got sucked into the engine.

Cliffnotes: don't let pride cost you a ton of money down the road.

Good luck and the car looks great. I don't remember seeing a X in that shade of red. I'm a fan.
