Haha yeah it does sound like the same issue (btw huge thanks man!)

Apparently so, though admittedly other people complained about them on the other boards (that board for evox that shall not be named) and I've seen several for here too.

Your welcome, I was in your exact position ready to order a new CMC and Slave
Kinda glad it happened cause I got to setup my tranny the way I like it. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the clutch fork stop, that paired with the act monoloc, im hoping will keep me good. Funny thing is they say its from hard shifting, I was driving like a granny on the freeway when it happened

Fyi incase someone passes by this thread, this is what the inside of my inspection grommet looked like: forgot to put this up earlier.

Status, got exhausted at downpipe removal. Going to grab a universal joint and extension for my impact wrench then resume today.

Should just be that and unbolting the transfer case before the drop.

Glad you found the issue. I switched over to a Comp twin disc and had my pedal get stuck like that. I replaced the CMC and it still wouldn't work. Come to find out the conversion lever from the Comp twin was too hard on the clutch fork and literally snapped it in half. This was the 4th one locally I have heard of happening. I was actually able to rig up the Quarter Master hydraulic release bearing to work with it...I don't think I'd ever go back to a manual set up!

Alright new clutch and flywheel are in, the ACT HDSS with the lightweight flywheel, new CMC + new shift bushing and clutch pill removed.

Say the least, car drives fantastic! Heck it's way better than stock...

Question, when you let off the clutch abruptly do you hear clanking? Ive been noticing it off and on and am wondering if its from the lightweight flywheel and clutch combo

Nope no clanking at all, my car sounds like a saw blade at 2600rpm and stops the high pitch winding sound at 2800rpm.
Note that sound was caused by a loose bolt on the downpipe.
