Question So I need the aluminum valve cover if I was to buy aftermarket headers??

I was wondering if would need to buy the aluminum valve cover if I was to get an exhaust manifold, I was looking at the full race pro stock manifold, also I was gonna get the firewall and cam sensor heatshield.

I ran that Full-Race manifold just to drive from Dyno Time Speed Works in Hildebran, NC to Greenville, SC and it melted 3 holes in the backside of my plastic valve cover. I got the aluminum one and custom made a heat shield...no more problems!! I love the manifold, btw.

Yeah it's a must have. My tubular manifold is ceramic coated as well as wrapped and there's still a LOT of heat coming off it. I have an aluminium VC with heat resisting reflective tape on the back side of the VC facing the manifold.
