Sst fluid change 2 drains, help help...

I open the 2 drain plugs, 2011 model, and only 4.5quarts came out. Thinking the ex owner might undercooked I put back 6 quarts. Does that sound right?

If you have gotten to the point where you are unsure if you have the correct amount of fluids in the SST transmission you have to remove the overfill port on the driver side of the transmission and it is not easy to get to. the best way I found to remove the hex plug is to cut off about a quarter of an inch of an allen wrench and then once you get that in the nut you can use a wrench to back out the plug then you fill the transmission very slowly. it will overfill out of that port and then you have to continue to fill again and again slowly for basically hours until it stopped oozing out of the port. that is the only way to reset the amount of transmission fluid that is in the transmission, your method is simply a guess and you can cause damage.
