Which engine would you choose for my MR?

Hello unbiased EVO Enthusiats!

Im planing on going bigger power this summer in my X MR

When i had my EVO 8 i was pushing 550whp+ and 500wtq+ and I licked the power a lot on the streets.
So much fun after 500whp!

My goal now is to do a slight increase of around 600whp and 500wtq+ (Maybe the wtq isnt a reality?) on and e85 and then another lower power tune on pump. E85 isn’t available all iver here.
I know there’s a bunch of turbo variables to get that power too.

My Engine options are the following-

AMS 2.4 Big Bore Crate
AMS 2.2 Big Bore Crate

What would you do?

your gonna need to dump some $$$$ into that SST to handle those goals. check out Kozmic racing they kinda specialize in that stuff.

Sorry i know its not the question you asked, but I figured maybe you hadn't considered the cost of upgrading the SST in your plan, and you might re-evaluate your goals after factoring that in.

+1 on taking care of that transmission first. They don't like a lot of power, from the factory. Good luck, dude! Sounds like it's gonna be awesome.

Gonna need a built trans, hit up Kozmic for that. I would contact English Racing for all of your needs in the HP department.

I wouldn’t buy a big bore block... your making the sleeves thinner and when it’s time to freshen up the engine or if something happens it leaves less room for machining... you can make that power on a 2.0 with ease... I would take that extra money and build that MR trans you will need it!

Built 2.0 block sleeved with a stock head that has springs and cams. You will get your power goal your looking for with that. I have a brand new set of ferrea dual springs and titanium retainers that were never opened if your interested...

+1 on the 2.0. Can make plenty of power with a 2.0, no need for more.

This. Torque isn't really your friend with the MR/SST so getting more torque, sooner, isn't going to work in your favor with your car.
