5558 Turbo

I have been searching all around the internet, there's really no info about this turbo being used on any evos.

Can someone tell me what rpm does 5558 gen1 and gen2 spool at? Also power level on pump.

Thanks

It spools faster and makes more power than a gen1 5858. Solid turbo.

Gen 1 5858 is about 500whp on pump, do you know if .64ar would hit around 500?

What kind of spool are you looking for? I have a Gen 1 5858 .82ar on my Evo 10 making 640whp DJ / 570whp MD on E85 at 28-29psi. 10:1 comp built 2.0L

In 3rd gear it hits full boost (28.5) at right around 4700rpm. Basically the same as a GTX3076R.

From what i have seen the difference in spool between .64 and .82 isn't very far off from each other but the .82 makes way more power up top.

I have a built 2.0 5858 as well, but I want full boost around 4000rpm. There's no e85 stations around my area, but I have to stick with pump.

That's why I'm considering 5558 gen2.

Not gonna happen.

Going to have to look at the MHI18k or GTX3071R.
