[FIXED] EVO X smells like Gas from engine bay, the Heater/AC vents

My 2010 Lancer Evolution GSR has a strong gas smell when I park. It also smells a lot when my heater or AC is on. The car has 78k miles.

Hey hello & welcome

Likely suspect would be the injector seals. Can be verified by a boost leak test. There are other ways, as well, like using a spray around the seals while the engine is running

Check for a crack in the manifold and check for loose bolts/nuts along the exhaust, starting from the exhaust side of the engine.

Sorry I forgot to update but the issue is fixed. There was a hold in the fuel return line from the intercooler piping. Made adjustments and replaced the part.

Oh great!! In my case right now, I have a cracked manifold and looks like a bolt is loose between turbo and downpipe. Getting exhaust smell in the HVAC and lean codes. Guess I read "gas" as exhaust gas.. lol
