Oil Change
i need to get an oil change.
the dealer charges 75 dollars to do it and only 20 if you bring your own oil. if i wanted to change it my self is there a procedure to reset the milage thing on the screen in the gauge cluster?? |
check the manual to confirm, but i think you just have to go the maintenance screen while the engine is off and hold down the menu button to reset.

thats all you do.

alright thanks:thumbup:

I did that, and the display went from "5 months / 4000 miles" to "10 months / 9000 miles"... WTF? I followed what the owners manual said to do, and this was the result!

****! $75!
Change the oil yourself and go to the dealer and have them reset it if you can't figure it out. We've had people do that at my job. It takes 3 second, we never charge them. |
Since this is some of the routine maintenance in the book, how do you get the stamp if you do it yourself??
