Who has the "Harman Motive" Intake?

I'd like some feedback on their intake. There are soo many out there,I really like this one. So,i'd like to know what you like/dislike about it. Any CEL's?

For the $$$ seems like a pretty good deal,1 piece, relocated BPV upfront, bungs, dry filter and they offer the additional enclosed box option. .which can be purchased later too.

The only thing is,I want an AP and they may not make a map for this "brand" intake.Wonder if say "AMS or AEM" map would work?

just installed this intake today... im loveing the intake and also went with the box... not liking the box... its a very thight fit and puts things out of whack... maybe needs some adjusting but for the prive i dont think the box is a good idea... im going to costimize that box if i cant get it to fit the way i want... otherwise the intake is GREAT PLUS it has every single thing u need plus instructions... great intake....

IMO best one out. i have it and love it.

I want to get it as well but don't care for the box.

Did it give anyone problems when the A/C is turned on? Any issues?

im going to get the AMS heat shield also now that see it fits with HM intake.

Evo Andy Apr 23, 2009 12:39 PM

Wow, thanx guys for the feedback, and pix.I love the polished pipes on the HM intake and matching on the UICP.I was wondering if the "AMS" sheild would fit too,now I know the answer.
I can't see that much difference if I want to get the HM intake as opposed to say aem/ams.As long as the MAF sensor is located in the same spot. . .i'm sure it will flow/calibrated the same.

Young HigH Apr 23, 2009 12:58 PM

yea and it cost less than both intakes 229.00

ScottSpeed21 Apr 23, 2009 01:06 PM

It's basically identical to the AMS intake, which I have, and I've been very happy with mine. The MAF sensor is in the same spot and it's the same diameter pipe, so I'm pretty sure it would be the same calibration with either intake. Also, I don't use the intake shield, and I've never had any problem with the idle, but I've also never turned on the A/C yet, so who knows...

How did you get the Perrin Map? How's it run?

ps: Hey thanx for the 411 Scott, btw. . I live in Albany.Wanted to say hi.

Young HigH Apr 23, 2009 01:08 PM

i purchased the Cobb AP from Perrin so they give you a MAP free. they have a sale going on right now i think 12% off

Young HigH Apr 23, 2009 01:10 PM

It runs great even though they dont say to run intakes, but no AFR problems or Knocks.

ScottSpeed21 Apr 23, 2009 01:15 PM

Do you know what AFR's you're running on that map, or how much power/torque you're pushing?

Young HigH Apr 23, 2009 01:19 PM

no dyno reading yet there is an option on the AP to check but i havent done that yet. im going to iVey tune to get a custom MAP done i will let you know when and show the dyno charts.
