Buschur Racing's EVOX, 11.71@124.01

Just got back from the track.

Took the EVO X out there just like I have been driving it. No changes made, no fuel changes, no tire/wheel change. The car is running on the stock wheels with Nitto 555's on it, NOT their drag radial. We had about 5/8th of a tank of straight Shell 93 in it.

The car just will not 60' very well and I'm not real sure why. The clutch may actually be slipping just a bit but it doesn't seem like that either. It doesn't spin, just won't come out hard. Our best 60' was a 1.841.

Here is a break down of the time slip:

60'- 1.841
1/8th mile-7.622
1/8th mile mph-92.41
1/4 mile-11.712
1/4 mile mph-124.01

I think this should put the car as the fastest if not the quickest too on straight pump gas at full weight. I'm pretty happy with it.

The car is a good 60' away from really dropping some serious ET.

This is a very simple combination of parts.

BR Stages 1-3, Dominator 2 turbo, Cosworth cams and a BR tune.

Congrats! The only thing missing is a solid 60 ft...I am sure you will find the solution in no time.

Way to go Dave and Buschur Team. Keep up the work on the X.

Evo a Mula Jul 7, 2009 03:35 PM

good stuff dave all you need is a good 60ft and you will get an even better time thoes trap speeds are sick

tonyboy Jul 7, 2009 04:21 PM

great timeslips! much better timeslips when you find that solution with that 60'.. ;)

David Buschur Jul 7, 2009 04:28 PM

Thanks guys. The 60 foot is for sure a problem. I think it's the cars weight combined with a standard twin disc. I just don't think the clutch is biting hard enough to propel the car forward really hard.

We may have to put the Exedy Twin HD in the car to get it to ET better.

Congrats! Pump gas driver @ 124 with a casual '60. That **** is amazing! Can't wait for the HD.

Awesome times and traps, Dave!

Were all of the seats in the car? Was the full exhaust on the car as well?

Also, how much boost (if you don't mind sharing)?

David Buschur Jul 8, 2009 08:11 AM

Yes, absolutely all the seats were in the car. There is NOTHING missing from this car except the spare tire and jack, that's it. Also had 5/8 of a tank of 93 Shell in it. Also yes, absolutely our new "Crossflow" exhaust is on the car, offroad pipe and a prototype 3" downpipe from us is on the car. Boost I have to guess at but I'd say 28 peak.

Hiboost Jul 8, 2009 09:34 AM

I doubt I'll be able to beat that trap speed without cams, but I may clip you on the ET though! Were you able to do any runs with a shift to 5th? Any ideas on how much of a penalty that is going to apply to an otherwise good 1/4 mile run?

Keep up the great work on the X!
