Car doesn't start...no idea why!

So I could really use some help here! My car is on the side of the road and just doesn't want to start! Car was running fine until I came to a complete stop and the car just shut off and didn't restart. I wasn't hammering it, I literally just came to a stop and nothing!

I've done some work to the car which might contribute to the problem:
- Injectors
- Fuel Pump
- FP Red

The car turns over just fine but my initial feeling is something with the fuel systems went out. I'd really like to hear some thoughts so I can get my car home!!! :crap:

Is this an issue with the fuel pump relay?

Thanks!!!!

there's a recall on the fuel pump relay. call your closest dealer and see what they say.

Do you have gas in the tank? Do your hear the fuel pump? (open the driver side back door and listen close to the seat). Who performed the work, you? If so, time to get out the tools again. if someone else, call them.

someone else locally had the same issue, i was trying to help them resolve it... dunno if they fixed it since he never called back after that, but i told him to swap the foglight/horn relay for the fuel pump and injectors relays temporarily

This is exactly what I'm gonna try!

For those with relay issues, will a bad relay result in the car just shutting off? I've been reading on the relays and it seems that some symtoms exist that indicate a bad relay (which I didn't experience). My car was idle and just shut off.

So I've done more research and called a few shops...Come to find out that the Walbro pump has a history of failures! In my situation it's probably good that it failed all the way. A partial failure could have been bad with my AFR.

Anyway, thanks for the help and I have a new pump on order!

There is a common failure with the relay. We haven't had many walbro fuel pumps fail. The walbro isn't a quite pump, so you should be able to hear if it's turning on.

I pulled the back seat and removed the cover...not hearing the pump. Without needing to go through the fuses, does anyone know which fuse could impact the pump?

check under steering wheel..normally on the cover inside it tells you which fuse goes to what.

Problem fixed...it was the pump. I've only had this pump installed for just over a month, so hopefully this new one lasts longer.

I'm going to start looking for a better replacement pump to the walbro.

^wow, I've heard very few issues with the walbro, relative to how many people run them, especially when it is so new.

I've been running mine for a few years now, and I know plenty of people that are in the same boat as me. Did you ever run the tank real low after installing it? Is it possible things are mounted too high so that it isn't reaching as deep in the tank as it should? (I know that is less likely, just wondering why it would fail so soon)

G/L!
