CBRD BBX Lite data
So I recently installed a CBRD BBX Lite on my 2010 Ralliart Sportback. Thanks again to Chad @ CBRD for the great support and a great turbo.
For the people that don't follow the Ralliart forums, my goal with my Project Ralliart is to keep the car quiet, stealth, great street manners (good spool), and not too modded. You could say the theme is OEM+. I have a 05 Evo to be obnoxious in. ;) I figured the Evo 10 guys would like this data as much as the Ralliart guys since the platforms share the same motor. To that point, please pay attention to the mods, or lack of, in the current state of the project. http://norcalmotorsports.org/users/b...o10_Wheels.jpg 2010 Lancer Ralliart Sportback Mods: CBRD FMIC CBRD BBX Lite stock appearing turbo Evo 10 OEM spark plugs (RA uses 7 heat range, Evo 10 uses 8) Evo 10 Exhaust manifold Specialty-Z 02-Downpipe combo Ultimate racing test pipe with mini muffler Stock catback and mid pipe Injector Dynamic 1000cc injectors Evo 10 Intercooler pipes Evo 9 metal BOV GM 3-port boost solenoid AEM intake (3" MAF housing) Tuned using EcuFlash and Tephra V1 map switch + knock light rom upgrade + PSI-target boost control 91 octane -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Data: Boost: 25psi across, held to 7800 rpm with max of 68% WGDC MAF Grams/sec: Peak of 387 g/sec = 51 lb/min - The stock RA turbo peaks about 33 lb/min and the stock Evo 10 turbo around 41 lb/min for reference MAF Volts: Peak of 4.83v IDC: Peak of 73.7% at 11.3 AFR http://norcalmotorsports.org/users/b...Data_91oct.gif -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dyno power results: Over 120 whp gains at 7400 rpm! + 100 whp peak to peak gains 320 whp / 275 wtq Keep in mind the list of mods, which includes the stock catback still. I also limited the torque for the purpose of preserving the SST transmission for now. :) http://norcalmotorsports.org/users/b...whp_082810.jpg Needless to say, the turbo upgrade has totally transformed the car into a true hot hatch! For reference, a Evo 10 with comparable mods but full TBE puts down about 340-350whp on our dyno with a BBX Full (non-lite) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Next up is E85! Stay tuned! - Bryan |
Nicely Done.

Thanks for sharing Bryan.
91 on stock cat to corn juice, looking forward to those numbers. Getting a full TBE to go with that? |
Nice!

So this turbo on a evo 10...think it will crack 400whp on your dyno with corn? I am guessing yes?

I don't think I'm going to run it that hard on my RA though. - Bryan |
Thanks for posting some data bryan!

Nice work there, looks like a great responsive turbo and it holds 25 psi to 8k unlike my GT30. Flow wise that turbo looks perfect for the RA owners and any Evo X owners that desire max spool and response yet want more boost on the top end. The stock turbo is a taper monster past 5500 rpm's and this seems to cure that completely! {thumbup}

Actually I'm starting to tear into the car again to reach the ~600-650 crank hp range which I think will be the limits of stock block "reasonable" reliability. Basically I want to get a bit more power on tap for the 2011 One Lap event to defend the mid-priced sedan class title. I'll pm you details on what we might want to do with my GT30 with some upgraded wheels, somewhere in the billet 33R flavor range should work out well. :cool:
ok, ill leave bryans thread alone ;) cb |
wow..this looks sooo badass
|
Finally a stock frame for the x that doesn't have huge lag issues. How much chad?
