ef3 or new bb red?
deciding and recently checked on fp website and seen the bb fp line for the x .. what does the ef3 and red hit full boost at? any advantages over each other?? thanks !

Just not enough real world info on the ef3, it's really tempting me, there's a huge price difference

as far as hp goes what are you goals ? if you plan to keep the car around 400hp both turbos will due the trick . about that full boost thing each car is different and your spool characteristics will change with supporting mods

I've got an EF3 on my personal car now, I'm hitting full boost around 3600 when starting at 2000 rpms in third gear :) My results will be posted shortly, just trying to find time to get a hybrid boost control setup installed and tuned. In the meantime it's over 500whp @ 28psi on E85 :)
Chris, any chance of some pump fuel results, we don't have e85 and i won't buy without seeing some! |
On the red without e85 it's hard to get 450whp, the ef3 it will be easy!
|
I'd go for the non-anti-surge EF3, it should spool faster than the BB Red and will cost quite a bit less. Both are capable of similar power numbers.

That's a relatively easy fix as you would just ship the comp cover back and we would get you setup with an anti-surge version ;)

Very impressive results for CA 91-octane, with a cat, and stock manifolds/TB! |
