Is this like a recall? Sorry, I'm not sure how this effects me and what I should do about it.

Four model years later... we finally have a new timing chain for these engines. lol

It's about time....

There was actually a new chain already. This seems to either be the official announcement or a 3rd revision.

Think it's the official announcement since it was the only one on the generated tech list

I had my timing chain stretch and they ordered me a new chain. I inquired why it was different and they said they just changed suppliers. BS!

Looks like Mitsu is just sweeping it under the carpet

So glad that there is a new chain again, its gonna be like the relay problem. Does this mean if you have the second revision chain should we check to see and worry about upgrading to this new third revision?

Here's mine...stretched at 33k on an '08 gsr vs the new version installed last week

So do the 2012 have this new one .

From what I understand, 2011s with a build date later than feb 2011 have the new chain.
