engine build, need some input
I recently bought an evo x that has a 6265 turbo attached to the stock motor. Obviously this is quite a beast of a turbo so i plan to build the motor to accommodate it. Ive been trying to research and read about forged internals, max hp/tq on the semi closed block, sleeves, drop in pistons and rods etc. but cant really find anything ideal for what i hope to do which is make this car maintain decent street manners and still have big power. I am coming from an STI that i built with basically a gt40 turbo that i could only get about 550whp out of and it was easy to me to drive with 272 cams and a competition clutch stage 5 with lightweight flywheel. so maintaining driveability of that caliber is something that i am perfectly fine with. So far it looks like doing a stroker kit with 280 cams is an avenue i would like to take with stock block. Any suggestions or thoughts? is this doable?
