What's needed for E85 (including winter storage)

I'm looking to have my X tuned for E85. I am running an MHI 18k so have the usual supports - GS 3 port, larger injectors (FIC 1100), Aeromotive 340l fuel pump, etc. I've read some folks recommend changing fuel lines and the sock in the pump. Is this needed given my set up?

I store my car in the winter where it gets very cold (Chicago) and the plan is to drain out the E85 and switch it to 93 for winter storage to combat the ethanol separating out while in storage.

Does this plan make sense? Any other feedback?

If you don't have the E85 specific aeromotive pump, you'll need to change that. But that's it. Everything else will be fine. You might need larger injectors depending on how much power it ends up making, but they aren't 100% needed. The stock fuel system will otherwise be fine.

How do you know which ones are E85 compatible? I surfed a few forums on folks having them fail quickly, potentially with older units. Is there a model number or purchase after date I should look for?

You also want an E85 specific fuel sock if you get a OEM size PNP pump.

The sock is GM Part #92220509

If you don't get a OEM size PNP pump and delete the OEM inner assembly you will need an inline fuel filter.
