no

Quite obvious he had no idea what he was doing .. which is really a waste to send someone as narrow minded as him to drive the car .. With S Sport mode, it will not hold gears if you're in AUTO mode .. that mode was designed for use with the paddleshift much like a NLTS everytime .. except NO HUMAN can shift at 8ms ..

Probably an obvious technology idiot .. since AFS has been around for a while .. especially in VWs, Audi, Mercedes etcetc ..

AFS = Adaptive Front Lighting System.. It changes the headlight beams to look in direction of turns .. Obviously nothing works for him ..

Sweet, I didn't know AFS was on the X. Thats pretty cool. Although, not to beat up on the guy's ignorance, he did state that none of the other Mitsu. reps understood what AFS does...I think that is way more disturbing.

I'd have to say though that it is good to hear that there is at least one editor out there that likes the 5 speed over the SST. Most of the articles that i've read on the X have been technical in nature, this one was far more subjective - sort-of refreshing to hear an enthusiasts opinion.

Interesting that the tech reps doesn't know .. coz the AFS was explained to me by a sales rep .. maybe thats why ..

An Evo 5speed has nothing to be tested .. it has always been a given that the manual will perform .. It is the other things that everyone else is interested in .. the AWC, the SST, the AFS ( ) etc .. as all these are new technologies that is supposed to make a good car better ..

the 9 is not ugly at all....people tell me all the time that it looks better than the new evo and i agree with them.....not saying the x looks bad but the 9 isn't ugly but the sti pretty much is

At certain angles, the car is ok, but it looks like an econo box. The roofline is stupid looking. The X looks like a sports car, much more high end looking.

It X looks like a whale in comparison to the IX...which is what I don't like about it. Lines are better, yes. Roofline certainly does flow better, but the proportions make it look like the fat pig that it is.

When I can live with ugly, don't care about refinements and 3540lbs is too much....no, I can't live with it.

Some will, no doubt. Best wishes, and as nice as the car is-its not for me.

well, until you really get official reviews, nothing really means much.

When the IX first came out, I remember alot of ppl talking junk and saying they'd rather have the VIII and such.

I should be getting my X GSR in a week or so (Singapore) but over here, its advertised at 280BHP? I'll try a review on it as time comes
