POLL: Let's make this work

Hey everyone. I'll start this out by saying that I'm not a fan of the X. It's a nice car, just not the right car for me. I wanted to get that out in the open so you can see where I'm coming from.

I've noticed a trend that has to stop at some point. The X forums are running rampant with off-topic discussions from both lovers and haters. It's a little hard to read any longer. For instance, a thread started with dyno charts turned into a suspension discussion. Not a logical flow and not within forum rules.

I'm not saying we need to hold hands and give man-hugs. Discussion, argument and agreement are all healthy parts of any debate. You don't have to stop loving or stop hating the car. No one's opinion should be censored. But, I think we all have a responsibility as contributing members of this forum to at least keep threads on topic.

If you want to debate the suspension, there's a whole section dedicated to that and you can argue for or against it until you're blue in the face.

Who's with me in trying to make this forum work a little better for all of us?

The forum is working just fine as it is.. Thread start off with a topic , all is said , then the discussion branches out into related relevant issues based on peoples responses to the original topic. It keeps thing fun and lively and its even fun when other folks start complaining about other people complaining about things.... If you be uptight you will have less fun...=)

The key is relevant. You will notice in our rules and infractions, taking a thread off topic is not allowed. We generally only enforce this when the thread takes a decidedly negative off topic turn with fighting, but still...

If you want to discuss suspension, dont do it in a dyno thread, start a new suspension discussion thread. We have different sections and different threads for a reason. Changing the subject throughout a thread makes it harder to read and harder to find the information you are looking for.

So, the OP is correct, we need to make an effort to stay on topic. That said, if any of you see a thread going OT, simply report it and we can step in and get it back on track.
