I work @ Key Nissan here in Hardeville, South Carolina. Today we got a new shipment of vechiles...and sitting on the spot above the trucks cab was a new Evo X. I asked the driver where it was going. He said it was headed to a dealer down by my house....so when i got off work I headed down to see what was up. I found it....and well i gave it the obligatory door check...and well it was UNLOCKED!!!! So I did what anybody would have done....I gave it the run around. I love the exterior of the new evo. The interior tho i wasn't very impressed with. It reminded me of the dodge avenger rental car i had the other day....both dashes are made of the that cheap hard plastic. Other than that the seats were very comfortable. The trunk was also very small, and having own an srt-4 with a big turbo...having a reverse head sucks when you upgrading the hairdryer but i looks to have a good bit of room back there to play. Well on with the pics!!!!! Sorry bout the quality all i had was my iPhone.

Totally agree with the OP's assessment. I had a chance to sit down in the new X and I just couldn't shake the idea in my head:

"I'm gonna pay $30,000+ dollars to stare at THIS kind of interior?" That trunk is DAMN small too-if you haven't seen it in person yet, be prepared to be disappointed.

I am still thinking of purchasing a X once the MR or second generations come out but I hope they improve some of the areas I am concerned about. The exterior is fine but the insides could be much better.

 

battery and RF is hogging the trunk space.

BTW, can u fold the passenger seats like in the GTS?

Well at least the MR has a bit nicer interior with the leather/alcantara seating surfaces and door inserts. But then again you're paying even more $$ for that. The one thing I was in fact shocked over was that friggin' trunk space. That is simply the smallest trunk I have ever seen. Not even sure you could squeeze one large suitcase in there.

 

Sounds like you guys should buy a Honda accord . oooHHHH lets see. man this car doesnt have any power, aww look no All wheel drive. dude it handles like Crap. See you missed the point. walking around and sitting in an EVO X is not how you judge this car. if I walked around my EVO VIII and just sat in it I would not have bought it. I dorve it. It was quick, turns great and stops on a dime. its not BMW interior, Its not SUV passenger room or Minivan storage. ITS A SPORTS CAR WITH 4 DOORS. Thank you class dismissed.

Yep GG is still the sexiest color.

 

GG is teh sex....but i can't help but wonder why they didn't do a better job on the interior.....o well....i like the new sti over this....or the ix MR.
