How soon: $2X,XXX?
How soon: $2X,XXX?
Please don't call me a price monger, ask why I can't pony up a few grand more, blah blah, blah. I only want to get a few answers.
How long do yall think it will be before there are Evo Xs with SSS for under 30 grand?
I am interested if on this car the likely factor(s) are: time, supply/demand, mileage, etc? In the next 4-6 months does it seem likely there will be some reasonably low-mileage Evos in that price range?
Thanks!

Best that I can figure out for current pricing:
If you qualify for the rebates - college graduation, military, customer loyalty (currently owning/trading in Mitsu) - you would get $1,500 off price.
South Coast Mitsu pricing for March:
"GSR SSS
MSRP $35,655
$32,239", then subtract $1,500 for rebates = $30,739
"GSR Base
MSRP $33,655
$30589", then subtract $1,500 for rebates = $29,059
Also haggling may get you a little better of a deal.

Used is fine.. I seem to remember (it's been a while) when the Evo VIII first got here, some people couldn't handle the car for one reason or another (speed, insurance, rawness, payments, whatever) and after a few months there were some used ones for decent deals.
If people can already get them for close to 30, I would think the high 20s couldn't be that far behind.. How much do yall think an evo depreciates just for 'driving it off the dealer lot'?

Not hating on the x but the truth is x's are not selling out. the fact is most dealers (not just mitsu) are not selling well due to the economy. The dealers here in south florida they have markups on them and some people are buying them but most don't. A dealer that got 12 evo's still has 9. As we get later in the year and things get worse in the economy, they will have no choice. That is what I'm waiting for
. So yes it will be possible to get it for 29,xxx
ok, how do you get 1500 in rebates?
500 loyalty
500 military or student
500 ???

i guess if the moon and sun line up just right, you could get the following on top of paying invoice:
1 x loyalty rebate 500
1 x student rebate 500
1 x education edge rebate 500 (never heard of this one)
1 x evom.net member rebate 500 ( i belive a few dealers were giving these)
with the economy, value of USD going south and gas prices going north, some fortunate people will be able to get heck of a deal on their evo, and i mean people on east coast since Californians are always taken care of by the likes of South Coast Mitsu
