Understanding ASC: What it does and reported problems & codes (thread merge)
My car has gotten around 20 ECUTek flashes for tailored tuning and I have been playing around with ECUFlash and have not yet seen the ASC light turn on my car or any other cars that I have flashed.
Simple .. ECU signal mismatch ..
Whatever you hook up to the car that is not from the factory.. you're going to throw CEL .. if not now .. later .. at one point in time ..
piggyback modify the signals .. these signals cause mismatch with the wheelspeed sensors and the airflow sensors ..
Boost controller modify the engine load .. now your TPS and your engine load mismatch ..
MBC .. same as EBC .. especially at part throttle .. some people say the ""NEVER" get it .. thats because they "NEVER" gone into that region yet .. the weather is turning cold.. you'll see more of the MBC issues real soon ..

None of my customers have had any ASC light issues, from any part of the world. The JDM ECU's are all good too. I have flashed some cars over 50 times (due to changing modifications and testing) and have yet to have a problem when using ECUTeK.

As a prospective customer, I'd like to ask: does TTP/Zeitronics see this as an issue that must be resolved? Your responses appear to be of someone who has pushed long and hard to get this ready and now when an unexpected problem appears you wish it would just go away. So, do you have a plan to resolve this issue?

One has to be realistic in the sense that no vendor would continue to sell a product that could be percieved as flawed when there are other alternatives out there that are not causing the same issue.
I hope they get it rectified, as I think the z-chip has great potential.
We are reviewing as much data as possible comparing those who do not get it to those that do to try and learn as much as possible about it. It very well may turn out that those with the dealer update flash do not get it.
Time will tell.
In the meantime, the ZChip has been busy winning 2 SEMA Global Awards. From what I understand only 10 of these awards were given out at SEMA 2008 in Las Vegas last week out of 2000 products showcased and the ZChip took home two of them.

I have the Dealer reflash for misfire above 5KRPM, got it done about 3 weeks back, and I do get the Service ASC warning.
In Tarmac mode, I get the warning all the time, even normal driving.
In Snow mode, the warning is less frequent, only occuring near redline shifting, especially from 1st to 2nd gear.
