New to the boost!

Hi all,
Names David. Just sold my 05 S2000 for a 08 GSR. I love the new EVO. I do miss the S2000 in many ways. It sure is different to have all of the newly acquired room of the evo. One thing I miss is the 6 spd gearbox in the S2k. It feels WAY nicer then the 5 spd in the evo. Just wanted to say my formal hello. May the modding begin!

Id rather have as 5 speed and AWD with 300 lb/ft of torque than a 6 speed with 160lb/ft.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Even tho the S2000 had 160 ft lb it only weighed 2,800lb and had 240 hp. Definitely a quick car, but it isn't even in the same class as the evo.

Congrats on the new purchase!

You will definitely find some things about the X that were much better in the S2k and a gear box being one of them.

You are correct, 2,800 lbs will also be sorely missed.

Welcome to the jungle!!! I went from a 2006 S2k(ap2), to an evo 9, and now to an evo X. I do miss the fun weekend driver feel to the S2k, and the close to 9k revs. But as far as a fast car, with great looks, and all around performance, I am completely happy with my evo. The Evo is like none other, period. You will love this car, and once again welcome to the community!!! Oh yeah, and I've gotten soo many compliments on the X, its rediculous. I never have gotten 1 compliment on the s2k when I had it. I have old dudes, even asking me about the car, lol. You made the right choice

I came from a dc5, and one thing I missed as well was the wonderful tranny. However, the evo MORE than makes up for it in other aspects!
