My Evo X is my first manual transmission. Not sure if I learned quickly or what, but driving stick is ridiculously easy. I stalled a couple of times in the beginning when I wouldn't be paying attention or would lose feel of the clutch, but not much since then. I've never stalled on a hill, which is what I was terrified of at first - grabbing the clutch on a hill is so simple for some reason. I think this car is just really easy to drive, because I didn't do as well on the other cars I learned on.

When I got my VIII I stalled the **** out of it! It was the very first time in a manual. I stalled it pulling out of the lot, I stalled it in traffic on the way home, I stalled it practicing on the street, etc... The X is easier to drive than other evo's but it still is not the easiest manual to drive. I did stall the X once on a huge hill because I didn't want to burn the clutch.

macPSU, you guys don't have hills in Jersey. Come to western PA and I'll show you hills!

i stalled it once or twice when i first bought it, and once backing into a parking spot but that's it.

You need to remember this is a turbo charged car. There is not much power in the lower rpm's. You need to give it a little more gas than most cars...

yeah, on a hill trying not to burn the clutch.....its a different story with someone on your a$$$ though. I'd rather waste the clutch then back into some retard that was too close when the car starts to roll. Then I'd be paying for both of our cars.

again ive been driving stick for years now... thats not the issue. i just find myself driving normal, not thinkin about it, and then BAM! i usually adapt pretty fast to new cars... maybe this one is just taking me longer

so true, my girlfriend cusses at people for me who are too close now that she knows it rolls a couple inches on hills. it's funny as hell.
