Inputs welcomed 14' X $29K with 28K miles

So, about 8 years later but it looks like I will finally make it. Thoughts on the below in terms of costs and also, what do you guys think in investing on an Evo with all the uncertainties of Mitsu on the US market. Meaning dealer support, warranty support etc.

http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invento...ting=141889843

P.S. Hope the link works.

Better seats aside, you aren't interested in buying one brand new for 32-33k? Again, I know the seats suck but you can get a brand new one for 3-4k more.

28k on a 2014 too? Too high for that price.

I don't know if most of these guys here are in denial, but this price range for a similar amount of miles is where these are running for now...You're either going to suck it up and get a new one with lancer seats - but then everybody says they can just get aftermarket...who wants to spend more money just on seats?! when you can get a used one with them equipped...bottom line is just to do your due diligence and make sure the car is sound, and make sure the price is fair...and get what makes you happy...good luck

Let's see a 2 year old Evo (With almost 30k miles) with Recaro's for 30k, or a brand new one with zero miles for 33k. Denial? Nope common sense.

^Agreed

I ended up picking up the 2015 MR this past weekend that I mentioned in here previously. Yes I wish it had recaros and that I could've gotten it for 1-2k cheaper but at the end of the day I mainly wanted an octane blue X with touring package either new or very low miles and this fit the bill exactly. I couldn't be happier with it.

The reality of it is these cars are only going to get harder and harder to find with prices that will remain quite high relative to the rest of the used car market.

Common sense should rely on the buyer's wants...I should've stressed that it's all contingent on what they're getting an Evo for...if Recaros are that important - get used. If they want the security of knowing an engine is brand new - get new. You can even base it on if they want a 2015 Final Edition or just a regular GSR/ MR model for lower price.

Got me there...buying a Mitsu nowadays isn't necessarily the most sound decision anyone could make

With you both 100%, and I do agree with your points that people should buy whatever the hell they want.
