Evo X vs M3
Yeah I find it to be a great car. It get to the point that it is too fast though...
If your not running slicks... Im thinking thats the next move for my car.... Cobb swaybars and coil overs with a pair of slicks

Look at this way, if you were driving an Bmw M3 (V8 engine) against an mitsu EVO ( 2.0 4cylinder engine) and its up against ur *** on the track.. That is sad... picture an Mitsu EVO with an V6, or straight 6 with twin turbo thats going to killed the m3.. and the price differences.. $47,000 cdn EVO X MR vs $90,000cdn BMW M3. Thats $43,000 Cdn, you can put anything u want for $43,000 in the EVO X MR.. Wait until its 5 years old how much its going to maintain the BMW. I`m Cheap, I need to Put My money in my RRSP`s, thats why I would spend the money on mitsu EVO X MR over BMW 335
I've driven a friend's new M3 with a stick and own a EVO X GSR. Here's what I noted in term of similarities and differences.
The power of the M3 comes on slower than the EVO but the top end of the M3 is amazing. It keeps picking up speed to the redline. In the Car and Driver shootout at a track in Virginia the M3 had a lap time around 3:05 compared to the EVO's time of 3:13.
The stock exhaust note of the M3 has more growl to it. It sounds awesome.
The M3 cruises more nicely than the EVO on the highways. It's engine is at 3,000 rpms at 80 versus 4,000 rpms for the EVO GSR.
The driver position and sight lines over the hood are similar. You sit slightly lower in the EVO.
Chasis rigidity are similar. The M3 feels very connected like the EVO. The braking feels similar.
The steering wheels are similar and steering of the M3 is sharp like the EVO maybe not as darty. Initial turn in is better on the EVO.
The engine on the M3 is closer to the driver and farther behind the front wheels than the AWD EVO engines which are way out in front. Because of having the weight of the engine closer to the center of the car, the M3 feels better, more secure, swinging into turns at high speeds.
