AFAIK there isn't one available yet; I am just commenting on the possibility because of the supercharger kit available through Stillen/NISMO for the 350. I would assume that eventually they will adapt it for the VQ37 engine as well. Regardless, That much power without some idiot-proofing (such as AWD) could turn bad very quickly...

There is no NISMO supercharger. Stillen has nothing to do with NISMO. I still have yet to see even a supercharged VQ35HR in the US. It's gonna be some time before we see a s/c'd VQ37. The twin throttle bodies make that somewhat difficult.

Most Z owners I know that get to that point (FI) are already idiot-proofed.

I do agree however that a high-powered street car is much safer (and is usually much more fun) with some training wheels, LOL.

My mistake then. I never really looked into it heavily since I'm always going to want 4 seats - however, I know that you can get one of the kits installed by a Nissan dealer and maintain the factory warranty. I just assumed that it was a third party kit that Nissan used as an oem for a kit of their own. Regardless, with a high-powered rwd, all it takes is a small mistake to send it out of control - possibly causing harm to others.

Can happen with AWD too, even though its better at adapting to driver error and easier to control accidents can happen regardless of RWD/AWD... they both have their limits as do drivers

Agreed. Let's just hope that people use their brains when they drive .

sick of this bull$hit. the Z doesnt run 12s out of the box:

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do.../pageId=155764

TWIN TURBO Zs just barely get out if the 12s.

10 second Zs are few and far inbetween and it costs about as much as the entire car (used) to do it.

IT TAKES BOLT ONS TO GET A 10 second EvoX.

And we talk about mods, because thats what we do.

Evo all day.

From: Adelanto, but I work in Riverside and sometimes stay in Moreno Valley.
Stock vs Stock the Z will spank the X.

I don't know why you guys are underestimating the Z.

Yes, of course people will mod the X and beat most Z's because it's just too expensive to mod those cars. Simple things Z owners will do won't be enough to keep up with a X (or IX) with common bolt on's.

Why are any of you even bothering to compare these two cars?

Might as well be arguing which works better, soap or body spray. They are just as different as this discussion.

370z - RWD, 2 door, 3.7L NA V6, room for 2 realistically (unless we're talking about a child seat in the back), useless in the rain/snow/etc

Evo X - Room for 4 comfortably, 2.0 turbo, AWD, excellent in all weather conditions, etc, etc.

They aren't even running against each other as far as sales go. People who are looking into the 370z are going to be looking at the Genesis Coupe, entry level BMW's, etc, etc. People who are looking into an Evo are going to be also looking at the WRX, Mazdaspeed 6, etc, etc.

So what is the point of comparing these two cars?
