Gauge pod options
Those triple dash guages look great there, like the ATi setup for the GD STi. Why can't anyone make a nice flush fitting triple pod to shroud 3 guages? Really how hard is it? Everything I've seen doesn't sit right on the dash and leaves goofy looking gaps. Less carbon fibre, more fit and finish!
For those who like the summit pod, but hate the faux carbon fiber look.
Glowshift has the exact same pod and it's in black and cheaper.

I was thinking the same. The plastic appears to match OK, but it still looks like you bolted it on the dash, and the passenger can even see some kind of hole or something from the looks of it.
I still think this is the better solution, which replaces a dash piece with a matching one, so it doesn't look tacked-on. Of course, only the molds are done so these are just prototypes:

Also, i heard its bad to put gauges into the A pillar because it houses an airbag. Last thing I want is gauges flying into my face during an impact.
Paint the pod first with plastic adhesion promoter then with a "terracotta finish" from the craft store. It gives a very uniform slightly textured finish. Then flat, Satin Black, or Semi flat Black. Sure its not actually factory texture but it looks very good.
are there any 3-guage A-pillar pods that will still allow you to use youre sun visor? I bought my car with the guages already installed and HATE how i cant use the sun visor when need
They retain their passenger airbag/seatbelt lights. They relocated it down under the A/C controls.
finished my custom gauge pod (took the idea from Joe in this thread). i decided to do some more cutting to move the gauges as far to the right as possible and i also spaced them out a bit more. i am currently working on another version that will be a bit different so this one will be sold. it is not perfect since you can see that the top left corner of the double din opening is not straight but other than that, i think it came out pretty good
