well finally figured it out. the MAF housing was cracked and yea doesnt look good. so i had it towed into the dealer thinking it would be warranty, i was wrong. since the housing is cracked and not an "internal problem" they are not covering it under warranty. i love it lol. i called in and made a case to see if they will cover it. ill get a call tomorrow from the case worker to see if they will cover it or not. im not gettin my hopes up.

I must have missed it, but how / why is the MAF housing cracked? Has it been removed and re-installed?

Why the eff wouldn't mitsu cover it, are you out of your drivetrain warranty? I would tell them to fix it, its a stupid problem and the maf housing is prolly a $5 part.

Exactly. Did you buy the car used? Is it completely stock?

I also had starting problems and idle issues but it was related to a Custom Tune ( a simple issue they forgot to get rid of the LIMP safety mode)

Also my battery was weak so it was replaced under warranty.

Idle issues usually resort to MAF issues.

The car not starting can be many problems from the ECU (communication- it can be wires and etc), battery, and sometimes the Fast Key (Key is not properly programmed, fast key disruption from key in the pocket with cellphone and metallic objects, and etc)
