NRG Steering Wheel (Need help)

Just installed NRG short hub, quickrelease, and steering wheel. Now i have a airbag light on which i knew would happen thats not the problem. I also have the traction light on and these screens saying the awd system needs to be serviced. I heard that you need to plug the awc button back in thats usually on the steeringwheel. So i plugged it in and put it hidden under the dash and the lights are still on. Do you have to have someone turn them off or should they have gone out by themselves..please help ..thanks

well...for sure, you're supposed to at least re-route the awc switch to a button (part sold separately), and also reroute two pinouts. as for why it's still lit after you plug it back in...have you tried resetting ecu? also, this may be a far fetch, but maybe you screwed your steering wheel position sensor?

if you're to switch the awc control to a button type, you're supposed to rewire two pins on a harness at the bottom of your cup holder under the center dash. look in the BT install DIY for reference.

but assuming you plugged your original flip switch back in, the only other reason i can think of is you screwed your steering wheel position sensor.

Just as a side note - I had horrible luck with the NRG quick release on my Evo VIII track car. After a bit, the steering wheel would shake from side to side and never felt secure. I switched to the worksbell and it was a night and day difference. So, just keep an eye on it.

why would you get rid of your main airbag? i'm guessing the awd and traction system errors are due to the fact that you have controls on the steering wheel for that. it knows when something is unplugged so i think you may be screwed.

Any solution to the traction light? Just installed nrg short hub. Clock spring moved a little. But I did recenter it. Light still on. Will I need to clear the codes? Have a perfessional scanner at work.
