Catless tbe, air filter, and a tune should give you about 90 WHP. That's the most inexpensive 90 WHP you will get.

Haha when I said "modify the nut behind the will" it was a joke: meaning modify the driver"

Seriously, if this is your first car that you can modify, take your time and don't rush it. Do auto-x and HPDE to learn the car, go to meets and meet people and learn from their mistakes/successes. Have a goal for the car and don't just rush out their buying parts just so you can say I have so-so on my car.

My thoughts exactly! Once you've really learned the car you'll find out what you want it to do differently.

Decide what you want to do with your car, if you want to go for show or go, or both, come up with some kind of strategy and stick to it and always remember you get what you pay for.

you're absolutely right. I just meant dont buy the ebay knock off stuff. If you can get parts cheaper, I'm all for it. I shopped FOREVER for a good set of used volks and/or grids, and because I couldnt find them, I bought new lol.

Things like wheels, exhaust, intake, uicp/licp, all for buying used. I wouldnt buy internals used.

I've been reading up on this thread and was just wondering if all the information and advice given here is only for the GSR or can it used and applied to the MR? or do I need to search for a thread about the "first mod's" for an MR (2011) specifically or does that not even matter because 2008 still applies to the 2011...thanks in advance...
