yes, i realized the number is based on the date of sale, so I didn't mean to suggest that the tag had anything to do with that, but just curious what that tag number was -- you're probably right, a dealer inventory system or something.

I have noticed one very annoying aspect of that key ring: my house key, the only other key on the ring, rattles against the tag. I have yet to come up with a satisfactory solution.

Anyone else deal with this issue successfully?

 

Hey you have to call mitsu motors. I did yesterday and they called me back and they said they are going to resend it to me.

 

I got one of those plastic things that goes around the base of the key... works great.

 

I tried that. Didn't work nor was I surprised. The part of the key that is contacting is not covered by that plastic thing.

 

Ha just looked at my keys... I have a Walgreen's member card thingy between my house key and the SE fob.

 

Yeah I thought about that but I hate those things so I moved them all to an app on my phone
