Anyone have a do-luck type fiberglass trunk?

Anyone have a do-luck type fiberglass trunk?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just wondering if anyone's purchsed one? I was looking at them and noticed they are a bit cheaper than carbon fiber but with past experience I don't know that fiberglass stands up very well. Just wanted to possibly get any reviews on it.

Thanks!!

I have the fiberglass. It's comes primed but if you want it to look perfect there would or should be some extra finish work before painting( I didn't and it looks ok). Just for example along the lip there were 3 or 4 pits in the fiberglass. Also even though it's primed the surface isn't perfectly smooth. But again painted it looks good but not perfect without additional finish work.

I'm sure there is some reduction because you're getting rid of the spoiler for one and the carbon fiber trunk in itself is lighter

I was guessing around 20 lbs at least. Not bad and looks amazing. Thanks for the update!

This is a good thread. Im considering the fibreglass one as well.

I am wondering if the fittiment has been corrected. I saw a post showing that the right side of the do-luck carbon trunk needed some minor modifications to sit completely flush....

Fitment is great, no modifications to the trunk needed at all -- just minor adjustments to the mounting points to line it up but it will sit nice and flush.

I bought mine from Bulletproof. Like mentioned above even in FRP this trunk is significantly lighter than the stock + big wing. I didn't weigh them but the stock trunk is quite a bit heavier than even the FRP.
