Cobb intake

I was looking at intakes then i came across the cobb intake which looks like its only some sort of black piece a bracket and a filter so im guessing you would need the cobb turbo inlet hose to make a full intake, Is this true? My car came with a cobb turbo inlet hose when i bought it so i could pretty much get a full intake for 150 bucks.

It'll fit, go for it! Watch out for heat soak though.

The Cobb intake is a great piece, obviously a perfect match for their inlet tube. It does fine down here in the TX heat w/o a heatshield so I wouldn't worry about that too much.

No, it's an open element intake kit.
