Nice exhaust.. thats the one i really want because it sounds amazing but im a little skeptical after hearing some people say the hangers were rattling against the bottom of the car and they had to weld more piping in to make it stop...anyone hear of this issue or has ets addressed it? (not sure how long ago that was) Because i would prefer that over the buscuhr racing one..and thats my 2nd choice

cant wait to hear a video

So many good things about this post! Packing material scattered everywhere with no regard to the living room… knife in most pics… good beer… great pics of welds.. and actual weights of everything.. you’ve set a new standard on how to post for new car parts!!

Let me guess...the attention ***** factor started at an early age after putting playing cards in the spokes of the wheels of his tricycle.

People like this inconsiderate jerk are no better than the yahoos who run straight pipes on their Harleys.

Meh... I had a 2000 Celica GT-S with a nice Kazuma race exhaust on it, now that thing was freakin' loud as NA cars usually are.

I'm interested in this vid, get her up! In my older days where I take road trips to South Carolina I'd need it to be a little quieter on those days. My question is why don't they make twin "supressors" like some other exhausts make? Like the one on my Blitz Nur Spec-R for the XIII? I wonder if you can get something like this crafted for those long trip days, so when you get to said beach and cruise you can open it up easily. Just take out two screws, slide it out, and smile with the beach air hitting you in the face (and catless exhaust slappin' the guy behind you in the face lol).

And yes, Ling-Lager is the official PA rock-gut beer, that tastes soooo good despite getting the water from the Susqy river. lol.

Good luck, put up some long, various POV exhaust clips!

Haha, thanks! I tried to provide most of the information I couldn't find or found difficult to.

Great work on the exhaust guys. Sounds insane. Like a cammed V8. Had two rattles after installation, when to get it adjusted today and got rid of the loud one(hangar). Now there's just a small "ticking" rattle which I think might be coming from the midpipe tapping that little bolt attached to that thing(haha) going around the driveshaft. I'm going to get it taken care of on Monday, but it's not big deal, you only hear it at idle if you have your window or door open. Sounds like it's coming from the middle of the car so.

Took me like half hour to clean those back up lol. Finished 5 mins before the wife got home.

Maybe I'll just buy the V2 quiet muffler and just use the Extreme for "fun" days and such
Wife actually likes it. She always tells me that she misses the old "srt4" burbly sound. So now it's back, but even more badass.

Thats a nice exhaust and congrats on the purchase. I am sure that you are enjoying it.

I have to agree with Darwin to a degree, however I don't think his approach and presentation of his opinion do much to be less offensive. I have two small children and when my neighbors are revving up their dirt next to my house and many other very loud things I do get very upset. I don't want my kids being woken up when its late.

Regardless of how loud the exhaust is, there are ways to help negate possible issues. For all we know the OP could be a respect full neighbor, and try to do what he can to minimize the noise as he is coming home.

At the end of the day there is nothing that can really be done, if you want quiet and not worry about what neighbors are doing and want your kids to have quiet to sleep through the night then move to the country where you have a nice piece of land and the ability to have more privacy and quiet. Thats what I am doing.

thanks

First off, if Darwin bothered to check my sig, he would see that this is not my only vehicle. When I go out with friends, we normally take the Jeep. Also, I work until 5 and am rarely out past 10.
Yes, I am a respectful neighbor. Despite mine playing their music sometimes till midnight, parking in front of my driveway, etc.
And No, there are no kids in my neighborhood directly around my house.
Besides that fact, up until 10pm as per my city, I could make ALLLLL the noise I want.

Darwin might THINK he has people all figured out but in the end he just likes to nag like an old lady.

My thoughts on the exhaust:

Yes...it is very very loud. It's just the way I like it.
It is very deep in person despite what it sounds like on the video. Sounds very throaty and "burbly" like a V8.
Backfires like crazy. There's always a pop or two between shift. Even when driving normally, if you time your shifts right, you'll get a small one. haha
When you rip it, it sounds like all hell just broke loose. It is the MEANEST sound you can possibly get out of the X. Sounds like a total beast and it's a shame that you can catch that on video.
Cruising above 60-65ish and it gets quiet like most V2 exhaust from what I've heard.
Am I happy with my purchase? Hell yeah!
Sounds ALOT better(and deeper) in person than in the video. The wind noise and splashing from the rain water really messed things up but i'll post up another video up as soon as we're all good and dry over here in NJ(which doesn't look like it'll be soon lol).

*BTW 20mins in I noticed a check engine like, so the Vibrant O2 spacer didn't do much on this application I guess. And like AMS told me on the phone, it's on the smallest jet.
