We also were looking a car for my wife. Under 20K for DD.
The new fiesta is the winner for us. It is a much much more solid car, and feel better build then any mitshu in that price range we tryed.
So I actually choose a ford over a mitsu in this case.
Also this little bastard has a twin clutch AT and rev matching when it down shifts. + runs well over 40 mpg.

wow that actually looks good with GSR wheels!

I just love the look of the Outlander Sport - hell it looks more like the Evo than the Lancer does now! I wonder if anyone would be brave enough to add a few minor bolt-ons to the 4b11 in it

I hope this is a general trend across the board of all manufacturers...hopefully its a sign the economy is turning around.

Although I doubt it.

the massive earthquake in japan may have something to do with sales... no?

people see rising auto prices on the horizon and that car they were putting off on getting until the summer or next fall/winter suddenly becomes a high priority.

edit: that's why i bought my evo when i did

Now all they need is a good replacement for the Eclipse and Galant... and they'll be doing good.
they are cooler in canada

U might be right... RC Hill in Orlando had EIGHT (8) 2011 Evos in stock, mostly white GSRs... and one GG MR... now they have ONE! (1) and it's the MR still sitting there, now up for grabs at $32k brand spanking new...

I'm itching to grab it, but I want leather and my Ralliart (now sold) is MMCS navi is still sitting in my room waiting for an Evo interior to make it look prettier!

And they're overstocking in Outlander Sports like crazy (about more than half their stock is Outty-sports lol... including my local dealership in Miami)

Overall, Mitsu's gone from selling 4,000 cars a month for like September last year, to 8,000 this last month... if they hit 10,000 a month from now on and steady, they'll be getting real close to achieving that 100,000 cars a year, a lot sooner than they expected... which means more money to make more Evos and like you all said, better interiors lol!

and it might get better, Mitsu's president said they want to use the momentum to send the outty and outty sport down people's throat with even more ads... now they're filming ads somewhere in South America I think I heard over their Facebook page, putting the AWC and S-AWC through a rough test once again

I know one thing is for sure... if they had a 4b11 option and a SST option for the Outty sport...they wouldn't be able to keep them on the lots. Every Evo wife in the world would have one.

We're getting one regardless... but sure wish it had the 4b11.

u might want to wait for the 2012 model though, they usually come out by September... it's only a few months away... you never know they'll most likely have new upgrades

Yah we are waiting until Fall anyways. Save up a good down payment at the least.

Would be neat if they could offer at least a 2.4. 17 sec 1/4 mile is pretty pussified . But my wife doesn't care.
