Rear quarter panel cracking

I have a 2008 Evo x gsr in phantom black. I noticed the other day my rear quarter panel where it touches the rear bumper is cracking. Has anybody else had this problem? Will the dealer fix this? I have never been in any accident

I have never seen that. Is it the panel or is it just the paint splitting ?

It is the panel. The panel metal split and now is cracking. How do you post pictures on here?

Your car has been fixed before. Metal doesn't just fatigue and crack with out movement. It may have happened at the dealer before you bought the car, or even at the port before the dealer got the car. Call the dealer and make sure you let them know how upset you are that they sold you a car that had been repaired... BTW, I own a body shop in the LA area that does all the work for a mitsu dealer and I have never seen that before. PM me if you need any help. Good luck...

Kroggy are you the original owner of the vehicle?

if not it is very possible that the vehicle was damaged and repaired, and that repair is failing.

If you are and firmly believe the vehicle has never been damaged, take it back to the dealer your purchased the vehicle from.
