Yes, all Evo 10's use a timing chain.

Normally timing chains last as long as the entire engine, but some people are not so lucky.

I hate timing belts after what happened to my parents cars years ago.

i got the code p0012 over the weekend and took it in to the dealer (still under warrantee) and they said the timing chain was loose from over revving. To quote "the timing chain is sensitive on the evo and should not be revved" and so because nothing was TECHNICALLY broken, i have to pay $107 for the diagnostic process.... stealerships.......

A loose timing chain on a car with an auto-tensioner. Yeah. The data-less accusation of over-revving a car with an ECU that logs whether the car has ever been - wait for it! - over-revved.

They at least had a tube of K-Y in the waiting room, yes?

i've been trying to search how to install a timing chain.. came up with this thread but nothing that show's how to install one.. anyone have info or a vid? a buddy of mine told me there's one on the forum..

I had the code pop on me in the last 2 weeks. the dealer did a reset on the ecu and there has not been a code thrown since then. hopefully it stays that way
