I'm only running a Megan catback and still get the occational pop especially when changing gears above 4k rpm =) Just saving up a few more bucks for my AMS dp and test pipe then it's off to Jestr to get tuned. If you don't enjoy this sound you probably got the wrong car lol.

For me "does this car attract attention by detonating unburnt fuel in a loud and annoying manner" was not at the top of my car selection criteria.

Each to his own I guess.

I run a HFC, so no flames, but yes, I do love the backfires between gears, and the glorious little gurgles and pops on downshift deceleration.

I believe you're missing the point of my statement. I'm not basing an entire vehicle selection merely on the simple sound of back-fire. Now that would just be silly now wouldn't it?

We are tuned, run race gas and have an open exhaust, all the way through. It's both loud and shoots flames like you wouldn't believe. There is nothing like the smell of a race gas induced flame. We get many comments.

I love flames , but I have a tune, maybe that's why I can notice them from the rear mirror.

My car doesn't shoot flames, but since I've switched out my stock catback to an ETS V2 Quiet, I've been backfiring either more often, or I can detect it since they are now audible.

Surprises me when I hear them, but then I smile.
