Brake caliper covers

I was going to start looking in to break caliper paint when I came across some information saying that the red cover that comes stock on the X's is just a plastic cover.

I looked around and saw that they make a couple other colors. Does anyone have a site they trust to order them from? Or would a local auto zone or something carry this?

If you're talking about the Fake plastic Brembo caliper covers i can guarantee you it's not on the X's Brembos. There's a few threads on here showing people sandblasted the calipers down to repaint them.

i dont think you are getting it. there are real brembo's (ours) and the covers are to make regular calipers look like they have brembo's to make them look cool.

have you even looked at your brembo's? where did you get the information that they are simply covers? try pulling them out if they are just covers.

you cant cover up your brembo's because they are brembo's.

are you looking to cover them up to protect them or to simply change the color?

Just sand them down, paint them, clear coat, and new brembo stickers. Dont have to pay 100 each plus rebuild kits to get the look you want. There are how tos on here if you need one
