I've been doing a lot of research on this myself. I'm leaning towards the Magnaflow with the 3" Mod from MAP, Invidia Q300 or the Cobb Catback I think. Not sure which way I want to go yet.

Definitely go for the Cobb. Oval tips are what I have, and before I put Cobb's TP on the catback had a very simple sound. It was close to stock, the tips look stock and the slight increase in rumble was sexy as hell!! But I needed a little more noise so I added the Cobb TP and now I'm really happy. Its quiet enough that I have to open my windows to really hear it, but loud enough that people know there's an Evo coming. Best part are the random crackles and pops, and rev matching downshift pops are sexy too. I would only recommend the Cobb for quiet and quality sound. I've heard the magnaflow and it sounds a little ricey IMO but its a hell of a lot cheaper and still very quiet.

Go with the Invidia Q300.
Idle is almost stock and same with highway cruising.
It can get semi-loud but only when you would want it to

The best part about the system is the use of clamps instead of flanges. Both Tips are fully adjustable as well as the midpipe to muffler so you can get it looking and fitting just right.

Yep, Q300 is the way to go. Just about stock quiet while idle and cruse. Loud enough at wot to remind you that you have an exhaust.

I've got the Q300 too. I can't remember how quiet it is without a test pipe, but with one it gets very loud...

I had teh HKS Legamax and it was very quiet, stock like until you get on it then it had a nice grunt. changed it out for the buschur crossflow setup which sounds very similar, a little louder. Im in queens too and you are welcome to come by and listen. On second thought id be interested in selling the hks setup as well. PM'd you

Look into type one racing Sparrow exhaust. Probably the quietest one out there and one of the better looking ones as well

I have the buschur cross flow and after being on the car for 15k miles it has definitely gotten louder as the mileage has gone up. Its now drones at 70-80mph. If i was going to buy a cutback now I would probably go with the Cobb. The band clamps are a pain too on the crossflow.
