Latest news I heard that it will be equipped with the 2015 USDM interior. I.E. no Recaros.

They just lost me as a buyer.
Completely agree. About the ridiculousness of the argument and the ridiculousness of no Recaros. I mean i understand that changing laws dictated that change, but to pull the Recaros and up the price.....lets just say im glad i got my 14 instead of waiting for the final year model.

I agree it seriously looks like it this time, but it's been close before only to stay overseas.

Ford reveals Focus RS hatchback – and it's coming to U.S.

Performance vehicles are a growing part of the industry," Ford Americas president Joe Hinrichs said. "The RS is an extension of that."

Other features will include Brembo brakes, a six-speed manual transmission and Recaro seats. The all-wheel drive system that Ford developed can send up to 70% of the engine's torque to the rear axle, and all of that power to either of the rear wheels.

Performance cars like the RS and the recently revealed Ford GT super car serve as catalysts for an innovation spreading throughout Ford's lineup, said Raj Nair, chief of vehicle development.

Wow, Ford Focus RS actually looks very nice!
The spec looks good on paper too.
I usually don't bump for this kind of thread..
But this car definitely got my attention..

Stupid question though, isn't Ford from USA?
Why didn't they simply release the car already?
It is sad to see this of **** happens.
I thought it is always easier /cheaper /more accessible to get cars from domestic car makers.

The US market generally requires the most stringent safety and emissions testing of any major market in the world. Meaning that building a US market car is more expensive than building a European market car.

Also, it's my understanding that the European Ford Focus has been built in Valencia Spain for some time, and not imported from the US.

That Focus RS with all wheel drive is looking good and worth considering. Ive never owned a Ford but between the Focus RS and the Shelby GT350R, its just very tempting to get one .... WOW! RS First look (YouTube - shmee150) shows how cool it looks in blue and the seats looks comparable to my evo or maybe even better

I've owned three SVT's, and let me tell you, with 300+ horses and all wheel drive, that RS is going to win awards.

The SVT was one of the best stock handling cars of all time, all it was ever missing was the big time turbo power it deserved. We should have had a US RS years ago, people have been waiting for this one a long time.

Honestly i am really debating on trading my evo in for this..but i love my evo oh so much and just that fact that they will not be made anymore and also the fact that its an evo..and then its a focus. tough choices will probably go test drive one.

Didnt Jalopnik post that they confirmed US release, even has a dumb name like US Super Action model.... LOL

Update 4:29 PM ET: We just got word that the final version of the stateside Evo will be called (drumroll) the U.S. Special Action Model. No word on specs, pricing, or anything else at this point. - DL

feel like this is something subaru does with the sti, they realesed a special edition sti with a 2.0 instead of the regular 2.5 that everyone else gets.
