Personally I wouldn't. Top dollar for that kind of mileage would be about $20k with it being absolutely flawless. If you plan to buy it you should get the timing chain checked out

22000 is a reasonable price. But personally I'd prefer to pay a little more for a lower mileage car.

It seems a tad bit high but I think if you search around a little bit more you can find one with less miles for around 24k. My buddy just sold his 2010 for 24k exactly. 78k is kind of high bro and it's a 2008 so I'd make sure all the recalls were take care of if you do pull the trigger. Good luck with the search bro!

A 2008 Evo X for $22K with ~78Kmiles seems a tad bit high. If you keep digging around you'll find one that is newer with less miles for that price eventually. I added a photo below showing what the recommended list price (~$18K) for that year and mile range. When I pulled the estimated value, I quoted only a GSR with no additional accessions in good condition.

Every car is different and pricing can vary depends on factors like, location, market value, desire, ect. i'm sure you're using sources like Craigslist, KBB, Clearbook, NADA, cars.com, Edmunds, ect. to see what the value of the car you are looking to purchase is, with all the additional details. Those deails should give you some facts and figure to use when neogitating your purchase.

When I purchase my 2010 Evo x gsr in 2013 it had ~28,000 miles and i did some crazy amount of research within a week prior to making a 100 mile journey to the dealership (which was in the middle of nowhere) to look at the car. The car at that point was roughly 3 weeks into the lot life, and most dealership will try to get rid of it by the end of the 4th week with some discount or promotion to ensure they don't lose too much profit. After conversing for about 2 hours, threatening to walk away from the deal 3 times, I pretty much told them straight up that i'll only pay trade in value +10% OTD (this came out to be roughly $24K Out the door) or you can try your luck at the auction next week. At that point the sales manager came over gave me a hand shake and said you got a deal and ask if i ever sold cars. Told him yup and walked into finance to get all the paperwork done so they could go home to their family.

Just keep looking and researching, you'll eventually find your Evo X. Best of luck on the hunt!

I have an 08 GSR w/ SSS and only 53k on it and been quoted the same price so that other one seems a bit high.

I also have an aem intake, upgraded upper intercooler piping and the mishimoto silicone bov return hose...

It all depends on the car. 2 months ago, I bought my 08 MR with 16k Miles for $20.5k and it was in perfect condition. While I was car searching, I found Newer MY between $25-30k and were in questionable condition.

Price is too high for the mileage. I paid that for my GSR two years ago with 45k on it. It never hurts to try and talk them down a bit if you really want the car.
