Oil spiking
On my way in to work this morning the stock oil gauge kept spiking up and down from just above 25% to just below 75%. Is that normal? I'm 100 miles before 5k oil change, used Valvoline 05-30 on last change. It was probably low 60's this morning, nothing out of the ordinary. I don't drive it hard at all thanks to LA traffic.
I've noticed it's been slightly but noticeably running over 50% on average the past couple of days too. Don't remember it ever being that high. The car's been tuned by 5150 for 3k miles. No warning light has come on except SES when I floored it once to pass someone.
Other than checking the coolant, is there anything else I could do in ~30 min (lunch break)? I'd be furiously researching this if I weren't already at work so apologies if I'm asking an easily searched problem.

I'd go ahead and change the oil to see if that made a difference. If this spike is happening at a constant RPM then it may be the bypass valve in your oil filter opening due to it being clogged.
Just an initial thought.

I won't be able to get an oil change in at least 2 weeks. I'm stuck at work from 6am to 6pm and it's just under a 2 hour drive to get home, not much time to do anything else.
I just checked my coolant and oil. Coolant is close to max, oil is pretty dark but I remember reading that Evo's have a tendency to run dark within a few hundred miles. My friend told me to let it idle for 10-15 minutes and see if it persists.
From what I observed this morning, when I was picking up speed at 60-70+ mph, it started dipping down. Once I started slowing down to a standstill, it started moving back up.

Look man - it sounds to me like you're not taking good care of your car. You're still driving on the same oil it was tuned on and about to push it way over the limit by idling in traffic for hours at a time.
I know working a lot sucks - but if you can't get to a shop then take the time to change the oil yourself in the middle of the night before this becomes a bigger issue and your car fails.

You need to change the oil ASAP, trade cars with someone for a day. If it continues then i would Call 5150 and ask them what they think.... oil sending unit might be going out or even your pressure reg or sensor.
However i have to ask what stock oil gauge are you referring to b/c i did thin EVOs came with them!?!?!

My oil temp gauge always rises and drops when I'm in stop n go traffic.

There is no stock oil gauge, pressure or temp. Please take a pic of the gauge you're talking about.
