give me that woosh woosh...

Can someone explain to me like I'm 5 please.. I'd like some of that sweet blow off sounds. I don't wanna get a tune, and I don't like oils (bad experiences on MAF in the past)... and I am reading that a drop in filter/intake is my best bet. Anything that fits my parameters? Thanks!

move your intake in the car the best bet is under the dash on the passenger side.
Multiple benefits. Whoos Whoos very noticeable, and if you use a air conditioner properly , always sucks around 70F air temperature.
Also your airfilter will less a lot longer since its prevented from the elements , like dust water etc.

its a win win situation.

I have an aFe dry flow drop-in panel filter on my car. Marginally more intake noise including a little turbo BPV noise when the windows are down.

^True. But... with a decently loud exhaust you won't hear it that much. I'm running a tomei evo 9 valve and I barely hear it. Which I don't mind.

ETS intake gives a nice sound. I'm sure any of that design will too. I believe they run one of the largest filters.

I have the ETS intake and it makes that woosh woosh sound you'll be happy with it.

I hear it over my turbo back exhaust. of course you need to rev it a little bit to hear the whole thing.

or maybe a diverter valve if you don't want the high pitch bov sound

really ANY open intake you will hear it. ETS AMS Any Japan made etc. . Just make sure you buy a brand name , no Weapon R or Ebay stuff . lol

and stay the same diamater inside the intake tube around the factory maf sensor, unless you will get retuned immediately. Like you should with the HKS racing suction kit.

You guys are awesome! Thanks everyone!

Sorry for being such a noob. Just don't want to mess anything up here.

So this is the ETS you're talking about?

http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/E...-X-Intake.html

That filter element doesn't need oiling? No tune needed? And no other concerns down the road??

Thanks again for putting up with the noob questions.
