Breaking the 400hp hump

Cams? heads? e85?

Im making 400hp with a stock 4b11 in my 2011 GSR. Im running a 3071r at 28lbs of boost. Ets intake and intercooler and full exhaust. My question is whats the best way to safely get my Evo to 550-600hp without sacrificing daily drive-ability. locally I only have one e85 station, so a flex fuel tune is a must. looking for some pointers and some ideas to think about.

Thanks in advance

I currently run the gtx3071r as well. Its a bit more difficult to break the 500whp mark with this turbo, its rated at 550whp so you deff wont see anything above that. And reaching the 500whp with the stock block is even more complicated honestly. I ended up making 500whp with FBO, GSC S1 cams and e85. But the turbo was seeing about 28-30lbs of boost for that. And torque was kept safely below 400wtq. Now with a built motor should be alot easier.

You need a turbo kit to make that kind of power, and a fairly large turbo on E85 so the turbo isn't working very hard and not making a lot of heat and back pressure to keep the stock motor alive.

If you don't want to sacrifice daily driving you are going to need more displacement. Which since your internals are stock anyway, and you want something "safe" which i assume means reliable, then your going to need to upgrade the bottom end anyway. More power means bigger turbo, which means shifting boost threshold higher in the RPM band which will directly effect daily driving, which as you stated you want to remain the same, hence more displacement to help bring that threshold down a bit. So IMO your only option to meet your goals is to upgrade your bottom end and slap a bigger turbo on it. Even assuming everything goes perfect with the upgrades and you hit your power goals, your still making 600hp out of a 4 cylinder engine and I'm assuming a mostly stock drive train, the car will never be as reliable as the stock engine at stock power levels.

Just my .02

If "without sacrificing daily drive-ability" means you want it to spool like it currently does, then more displacement is the only way (as mentioned).
If your being honest to yourself then you cannot make that kind of power with 2 liters without a seriously big turbo. Your going to have to wind it up so I would think that cams and associated head parts will be in order for survival.
What about GTX3576R and cams/head parts ?

That being said what are my options Turbo wise, I know the FP series is popular but I don't have 10k to drop on a Turbo.

i made 550 wheel on a dynojet with ams tmp cams and a borg warner efr 7670 on pump gas (93 octane) on 28 lbs of boost. It would spool up by about 4k, 25psi by then.

I would do an ETS vband turbo kit with a precision gen2 5558, .82 hotside. It'll make around 500whp on pump, and will be in the 550-600 range on E85. A set of GSC S2 cams and valvesprings would pretty much guarantee you hit 600 on E85.

So the GTX3576R is capable of 600hp which is cool but if I'm investing in another turbo system I want to have a higher ceiling before I tap out the turbo. I think ultimately 700hp is where I would stop with this car. So I think the GTX3582 might be more of what im looking for.

Another question is when does it become necessary to Use a quarter master clutch? Ive only heard bad things about about them.

you don't need to use a quarter master. I use an exedy twin and it is very streetable and can hold more than enough torque for your needs.
