AYC, the differential side that needs gear oil-
It seems over-torqued, and I'm having the hardest time with it. There isnt enough space to fit an extension bar, or enough space to fit a regular socket+socket wrench. I tried a long socket wrench with one of those flexible socket things that are meant to fit in odd spaces, and bent the thing out of shape, broken. I'm out of ideas. How are you guys getting the fill bolt off when you do your rear diff fluid change?
I've always just used a regular box wrench, but mine has never been that tight. You might be able to use a longer box wrench for leverage or maybe a cheater bar slid over a box wrench.
Thanks for the advice guys. Yeah, I ended up using a 1.5in galvanized pipe over the regular 17mm socket wrench to get some extra leverage. And beforehand, I soaked it in some penetrating oil for a couple of hours. I finally got the sucker off, but jabbed my finger pretty hard.
