When I saw your title, I thought you are asking for the best one. And then with the ones you mentioned I think you are asking for a cheapest one.

To answer the question, the best one would be a metal cat housed in a Ti64 titanium pipe. Akrapovic used to make one, but it is now discontinued. One step down would be something like the HKS Metal Catalyzer (33005-AM003), which is a very good 150 cell metal cat housed in SUS304 stainless steel tube. There is also the Sard metal high-flow cat (5MT: 89055; 6AT: 89056), which is cheaper but supposedly also very good.

I don't think these ones make a difference among each other. May as well order an AMS downpipe and AMS high-flow cat together, so they arrive in one happy package.

I was searching up and ams has 300 cell and ets is 200 cell and mil spec is 100 cell so I would assume mil spec would be the best for performance? And hopefully someone who has had ets or mil spec can answer what HP they gain for installing these

I can only speak to experience with the ETS. It has a bend in it so fits the car neatly, The O2 J bung is nice, and it has held up well over several years including salty winters.

high flow cats wont pass emissions, and even 100 cel are still restrictive. So what purpose do they actually solve? just go the resonated test pipe route.

Well, if it's a DD, it solves the issue of keeping you from being a gross polluting, cancer causing jerk. If you live in an emmisions/inspection state, it gets your car registered.

My research let me to the MILSPEC being my top choice with the only hesitation being a likely CEL without a spacer or ECU edit.

Have you ever been in traffic behind a catless car? It makes my eyes water and lungs burn..... I don't know how our grandparentsg generation dealt.

What ?
In Europe we have sniffer test and i passed easily with 200cell metal core cat (MagnaFlow core), 93gas tune, 350hp. EvoX. With 100cell you cant pass with gas, with E85 its possible.
I would delete second o2 sensor and use decat. For emissiontest just put OEM cat down, or any other cheap 200+cell cat. Or just loan cat pipe from someone to pass the test.

When you say "best" hfc that can mean different things... its like asking which exhaust is the best lol
Best as in performance? Weight? Price?
There technically isn't a 'best' one imo

At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.
So a $50 ebay hfc isn't going to compare with for example, an ETS hfc

Also, you can pass emissions and smog with a hfc in California, but only if that is the only mod you have on your car lol
