SSS package's fast key entry

I was very impressed by the keyfob, it looks nice and works great. Don't need to plug it in the dash or anything, just crank the ignition knob and go. Didn’t expect mitsubishi to have that luxury.

My IS350 had the same type of system. After living with Push button/FAST for over 2 years it would be very difficult to go back to using a standard key. Honestly, it's a must have feature.

yeah cause it's a brutal task to twist a key...

It is actually really nice. As lame as it sounds, I am very happy with the F.A.S.T. Key :)

Don't knock it until you have tried it. It virtually eliminates all opportunities to lose your keys or lock them in your car. Very convenient.

you still have to twist a key, just no need to find a keyhole for anything

That makes it harder to have the convintional turbo timer installed on the SSS. But I'm sure tunners will find a way around this:http://www.hksusa.com/images_products/L_1531.jpg

When I looked at the Fast Key I wondered if it was like BMW Comfort Access? Do you just walk up to the car and open the door? Why did Mitsu put buttons on the Fast Key for lock/unlock? And there is a Knob you still have to turn to start instead of a button. Seems lame.

The key system is great. Man, I cant tell you how nice it is to not have to fumble for your keys, or anything, when going to the car.

Yeah you can just keep the fob in the pocket and walk up and press the little black rubber button on the door handle to open the door. Not sure why they have the buttons on the fob.

If it is the same as the GTS, you don't even have to press that button on the door. Just wrap your fingers around one of the front door handles and it will beep and unlock. To lock it after leaving you can either press one of the black buttons or use the remote.

My brother has MS6 w/ the smart key its sweet and convient but he always leaves it in his pants n washes all the time b/c it is so convient. Dont know how many more times he is going to be able to do that n it still work. U know it would cost two arms n a leg to replace one of those.

Can I Get That For The Evo 9

Shahul X Feb 25, 2008 05:19 PM

it is a great feature... He washes them? I'd still have it attached to my other keys :)

detroitmuscle Feb 25, 2008 06:11 PM

i still dont understand what it is...its seems different in every car...is it just that when it senses you close it automatically unlocks and when you walk away it automatically locks.....and when your in the car you can just turn a "fob" which i am guessing is built it to the "key hole" to start the car?

an no alarm sounding button?
