Can't decide
I know they are completely different cars, but I can't decide between the X MR or the Dodge Charger SRT8.
Pretty funny huh. |
Do you like to go fast in a straight line or a turn?

Test drive both of them and see how you like one over the other. |
Well if you're interested in the Charger, might as well add the G8 to the list (to be released in a month or so). C&D or some other mag did a comparo test recently with the G8 and the Charger R/T. The G8 pretty much did everything better (esp in the handling dept) and cost less. Straight line accelartion is prob about the same SRT-8, despite the descrepancy in power. The impression I get is that the Charger is really meant to be a powerful tourer, vs. the G8 is a bit more versatile, has more updated tech, and can handle respectably.

I test drove the SRT and went by and checked out the EVO. I am more interested in the MR so I am trying to wait a month before test driving.
It is a hard decision. |
EVO shines most when driven, esp driven hard. might as well have fun and test out all the other competition. Why not go drive an STi and the Mustang too! Add the 335 to list!

yes 335 i i am definetly considering that myself but the evo is the way to go

You would be surprised what can and what can't actually hold 3 children's car seats. My Accord won't and the the 335i won't. The STi is ugly and the G8 is well...it's a Pontiac. So the STR or the MR...I can't decide. I will wait until next month and test drive the MR.

yes, its needs a 6spd for sure. GM is doing some pretty cool stuff these days no doubt. I dont think Ford and Chrsyler can really compete at all. Cant wait to see what they do with the Camero.

The more info you have, and the more options you explore, the more likely you will end up with something you're really happy with. Give it shot, there's nothing to lose with some extra patience and a few more test drives. |
Aside from who makes the cars, and what they are all about, I will tell you one thing plain and simple coming from a guy who went from an VIII to a Vette...
Linear power curve is BORING. I never got tired of the evo, and I should not have gotten rid of it, there is nothing like the thrill of the turbo, and inexpensive mods that result in rediculous power gains. The vette is cool and looks good and has 3x as many liters, but if I could have my evo back I would do it in a heart beat. |
I like the challenger, now thats a sexy car.
