strut bar question

I am looking to buy a Evo X GSR with the SSS option and brake duct.
what about the strut bar option.
Is it something that just looks good or they are more rifgid than the one installed.

I look at the wheel and the brakes does not seems that the Evo IX rim in 17" for winter tire will clear the calipers

In theory the strut bar will make the car more ridged

front strut bar is good for looks... The stock one serves the same function.

Mitsubishi's strut bars will serve a purpose and they do look good too, but I like function over looks any day.

he guys I know what a stru bar is for I've been racing for over 20 years.
I was asking what is the difference between the one install stock on the car and the one that sell for $400
Are they more rigid? oversized? do they improve the handling or they just look better? are they lighter made of aluminium or titanium?
thanks

BTW
I already bought the car tonight so now I will have to buy them aftermarket if they are worth it

I have them both in stock. The front is aluminum I believe and is very light. I wish I would have thought to weigh it when I had it out, but didnt.

Can you tell from the directions if the cover for the washer fluid and battery still fits without interference with respect to the rear strut bar. Is there any panel cutting that needs to be done?

Brian
